At JR Exercise Physiology, we provide research-based services geared towards your health, wellbeing and fitness. These include Exercise Physiology, Personal Training, and our one-on-one expert training, for boxing, powerlifting, bodybuilding and more.

Exercise Physiology

Exercise Physiology is a holistic approach to injury prevention, chronic disease management and rehabilitation. Exercise Physiologists take an evidence-based approach when developing and prescribing exercises for patients. We perform comprehensive assessments that analyse your sleep, diet, mental health and lifestyle factors to prescribe and deliver personalised evidence-based exercise programs that help you achieve your goals.

Exercise Physiologists are required to complete a four-year undergraduate degree to understand how to improve mental health, diet, sleep and general fitness through exercise.

Exercise Physiology incorporates scientific research to create tailor-made exercise programs to assist a client in achieving their fitness goals. Exercise Physiologists can treat clients with chronic conditions and athletic populations due to our expert knowledge of physiology.

The benefit of working with an Exercise Physiologist lies in the extensive knowledge we can offer our clients. We understand the physiological, psychological, biomechanical and anatomical factors of exercise and create programs designed to achieve our client’s goals.

Exercise Physiology is also covered under Medicare and most Private Health Funds which allows us to bulk bill and offer rebates for our sessions.

Medicare: Ask your doctor if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) or Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) where you can have up to five free visits with an allied health professional.

Personal trainers and professional exercise coaches can help you by designing and prescribing exercises to help improve your general health and fitness.
